We recommend that sun exposed areas should be treated at least once every 2-3 years, both to protect the timber, and to keep it looking beautiful all year round.

After a full recoat, the rest of the house should only require a light rinse to maintain the Cedar and won’t need another recoat for 7-10 years.

Oil penetrates through the Cedar’s open cellular structure and replaces the natural oils lost over time, prolonging the good looks and weather resistance of your Cedar.

Stains sit on top of the timber and acts as a barrier to the elements.

We recommend regular oiling for most Cedar houses, but stains can be suitable for new builds as the boards still have their own natural oils and tannins. Eventually the Cedar will start to dry out and you can slow that process down with regular oiling.

Not all Cedar maintenance jobs need scaffolding. Sometimes the work can be done safely by ladder. It all depends on the individual property and how long we will need to be above ground.

We use our own mobile scaffolding, which is different from the scaffolding you are used to seeing on houses. Mobile scaffolding can be erected and taken down within an hour, is safe and secure, and has minimal impact on your house and property.

If your property requires mobile scaffolding, the price is included in the quote as a flat fee, so you don’t need to worry about any unexpected costs, or paying extra if the job runs overtime due to poor weather.

If your house requires fixed scaffolding, we can provide a quote from one of our trusted partners, or you can provide your own scaffolding. We do not add margin to the scaffold price, you pay what we pay.

Cedar maintenance can be done throughout the year, across all seasons, given there is enough time for the oil to penetrate the timber, or the stain to cure.

Our Cedar Technicians are experts in their field and will assess the weather on the day before commencing work.

Yes! We use an oxy-wash solution to soft wash the Cedar, lifting the dirt and killing off any organic matter such as algae and mould. Our oxy-wash is non-toxic, biodegradable and leaves no harmful by- products or residues which may harm the environment.

Our payment terms are 50% prior to commencement and 50% due on completion of the work. If you require more flexibility, please get in touch.
